Weaving has a long history of symbiosis with architecture.

It is a medium that allows me to bridge the two-dimensional and three-dimensional, by creating space between the warp and weft and by experimenting with fibers of varying thickness and scale.

This handmade intuitive process focuses less on making cloth and more on cultivating a sculptural dialog.

See Twichellstudio.com for her exploration of color and inspiration from natural forms for the graphic patterns in her textile art for architectural installations.
